Please define pod on fire. I got podkilled and went from shield and armor damage directly into a nice glowing fire ball/explosion without any hull damage.... |

http://www.wormnav.com/ enter the J-code and it tells you the effect. |

Week 3 is so far pretty tough but I learned a great deal. So far 13 deaths: 2x in a gate camp on my way to Steve (in a shuttle). Doing the podexpress 1x Because I joined a corp with jump clone service which is currently at war. Got podkilled in front of Dodixie and was wondering what all the red guys are doing here without Concord intervention 10x self destruct to produce the corpses cheaply and fast and not having to fly to Dodixie again....Very bizarre. Made a contract to sell them. Could be a new Noob profession. time effort ca. 30 minutes. Cost 665000 ISK for clone upgrades.
Lucky moments: -First wormhole I scanned and entered was a Wolf-Rayet.... -cov ops bombers with torpedos and target painters have a hard time to kill a shuttle
Next try to reach Steve and finalize week3: As soon as I can fly a Helios with a cov ops cloak |

Yeah, I remember we met the other day on a site. But honestly following the other comments and according to my experiences I think you are either quite talented or lucky for making it to Steve. Either way works fine with me At my first run to Steve I was not careful enough..and died but my second run was an entirely different story. I could escape at least 3 gate camps on my way, made safe spots, was zigzagging through each system but finally in AOK-?? I got caught. The gate was so full of warp bubbles. I think several small ones and 3-4 big ones. I tried from several angles several times and finally some damn tower at a moon shot me down while I was looking for another angle to reach the gate without ending up in a bubble again. Should have done a safe log-off and waited a couple of hours...
But eventually I will make it. Helios or not we will see.

Jin Yuen wrote:Now that we are almost done, the prizes are nice, but how about throwing a medal that I can point to and say "I worked for the SOE on this assignment".
All the prizes can be bought or sold and (except for the grand prize) I am left with nothing that commemorates my participation on the event.
A medal would be great indeed. Also some statistics. SP of players lowest/highest, pod-killed, space-mileage, etc. |

To enhance the effect of self-destruction, I would like to suggest to have a special music for this sequence like Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 in Soylent Green. |

To my anonymous customer: Thanks for buying my frozen corpses. Also interesting to see that the same pack of corpses appear in different hangar screenshots. |

Agree, but please with concealed result posting to make it more explorative and less copy pasting. |

Of course people can look up eve travel, use google, etc. but with doing so one still has to actively search and would learn some background info. Also looking into several sources makes it more of research work. Just being able to take the results of the other players is a bit too simple and does not feel like exploration in my opinion. It also takes away uncertainty wether one's result is valid or not. |

Not yet! I'm making a list (and checking it twice) and they will be handed out with the 1.1 release.
Cool. Thanks for the info. Tons of work I assume...

Sorry folks, due to a little snag yesterday we're going to have to wait for early next week for this (as it can't go out today and I am out of the office tomorrow). We can wait until Winter Expansion, no problem. But then you will have to give us something else from SoE instead of Virtue Alpha
Would have been nice to get the stuff at the first deadline when my characters was ca. 5 weeks old ...now I can afford to buy the stuff if I wanted to. None the less the whole matter slowly leaves a bitter aftertaste.

Ok while waiting....
Let's make a new image contest. The player who posts ONE link/player with ONE image describing this situation best, gets 10Mil ISK from me. Most received likes till the "real" prizes are handed out wins. |

I gotta say you definitely gave plenty of time to redeem the prizes. 9-11-2014. Any significant reason for picking 9-11? Also for the contestants who get a Tier submission disqualified, will they receive a mail notice explaining the reason for it ? Thanks again, I had a lot of fun doing this. Hopefully there's another Live Event Picture Hunt soon. DMC
Sorry don't get you. Yesterday it was not 9-11 and also not 2014..... |
